Applications will be considered complete when all required documents are submitted. Completed application packets will be reviewed in the order of submission. The full application and evaluation process can take up to 8-10 weeks, depending on the funder's approval timelines.

After review of the student's application packet, each prospective student must receive an initial assessment addressing academic and developmental skill levels and behavioral needs. The behavioral assessment cannot begin without the funder's approval, which can take up to 4 weeks. Monarch will send out appropriate consent forms and financial agreements. Once returned upon completion, an assessment will begin. Typically, the assessment is broken up across multiple appointments. 1) Parent interview can be conducted over the phone and child does not have to be present 2) Direct observations in a play-based assessment 3) If needed, additional observations in a student's typical environment.

Once the assessment is complete, Monarch will meet with the parent/guardian and/or student, if applicable, to review the findings, make recommendations, and develop a Treatment and Academic Plan (TAP), if needed. The Treatment plan will be sent to the funder for approval, which can take up to 15 business days for a response.

If placement at Monarch Prep is deemed appropriate, the student will undergo a trial period at our campus. For the first 3 days, the student will become acclimated to the school routine and staff. This trial period is offered for free. If mutually agreeable, the student will continue the acclimation and rapport building process for up to two weeks at private pay rates, if necessary. Once the student has completed the trial phase, a contract will be presented, and the student will be fully enrolled in Monarch Prep.
